The College also recognized John Reyna, who continues his recovery, affirming that he remains an important part of the Class of 2026.
Speakers throughout the ceremony emphasized the values of perseverance, brotherhood, and purpose that define the Powerline program.
SWTX Dean of Applied Sciences, Armando Mondragon described the class with one word: persistence, highlighting students who “made the decision to keep moving forward” despite challenges during his keynote address.
The ceremony also recognized the lasting legacy of Cauy Routh, whose impact continues through scholarship support that helps future students pursue careers in the powerline industry.
Graduate Marcus Puerta, recipient of the Cauy Routh Scholarship, spoke on behalf of the class, reflecting on the meaning of the journey and the support behind their success: “This is something I’ll carry with me throughout my career—it’s not just support, it’s motivation to continue growing, working hard, and making those who believe in me proud.”
